Rupelmonde

CNR yard Rupelmonde
Once Rupelmonde was a village of ship builders. The former CNR shipyard has been abandoned for some years now. But that is about to change. The historic yard is to be converted into a berthing place for the maritime past of Scheldt town.
The former yard currently includes a visitors centre and demonstration shed. On the restored building berth ships are once again pulled onto dry land. In the demonstration shed these historic vessels are undergoing a facelift. The visitor centre sheds light on the various maritime facets of Rupelmonde and the Scheldt estuary.
Practical: You can visit the CNR yard in Rupelmonde (Dijkstraat) every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In June, July and August only on Saturdays. Free admission.
